Description:
Responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining accurately all vendor information, purchase orders, and inventory adjustments for assigned retail stores within the internal inventory system. Provides merchandise description, cost, retail price and quantities accurate across assigned stores in the inventory system while reducing inventory overhead through purchasing just-in-time inventory. Increase sales by making timely orders in response to current sales trends following Buyer guidelines. Involved in annual inventory of stores and adjustments due to any inaccuracies or discrepancies. Overall support of Gift Shop sales, gross margin, and turnover objectives. Position is critical to the overall success of retail store operations (i.e. BHM, WK, MCI GiftShop and Boutique, etc). Estimated pay range is $20.02/hr - $25.43/hr based on experience.
Qualifications:
Degrees:
- High School Diploma, Certificate, GED, training or experience required
Additional Qualifications:
- Associates/Bachelors Degree preferred or a minimum of 5 years retail experience in a department or specialty store environment with at least 2 years handling inventory control system
- Excellent customer service, critical thinking, organizational, problem solving and communication skills required - verbal and written
- Proficient analytical and computer skills required
- Typing skills of 55wpm required
- Able to prioritize and adapt to deadline changes while working with diverse population in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work independently and efficiently under pressure
- Traveling required between four stores and work with flexible schedule based on department needs
