We are seeking a Project Mechanical Engineer to join our MEP team in Boca Raton, FL. H2M’s Mechanical Engineering team delivers innovative, high‑performance HVAC design and consulting services across a wide range of building types and markets. Our engineers apply strong technical expertise from concept through construction to create efficient, reliable, and cost‑effective mechanical systems that enhance building performance and occupant comfort. With experience spanning real estate, education, municipal, emergency services, industrial, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing projects, we provide solutions tailored to each client’s operational and environmental needs. As a Project Mechanical Engineer, you will be working with architects, civil engineers, and environmental scientists to execute mechanical engineering design work for both public and private clients. You will also coordinate the efforts of both in-house and outside teams who handle equipment selection, layout design, and load calculations and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
Â
- Project supervision and coordination with other engineering and architecture departments within the firm.
- Preparation of construction drawings and specifications for public and private bidding.
- Direct communication and follow up with clients in support and coordination of all project related activities.
- Technical leadership, production and scheduling, quality control and cost proposals.
- Responsible for the on-time, on budget and high quality technical delivery of all project requirements.
- Management/Supervision of junior level staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & QualificationsÂ
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of HVAC design experience, and at least 3 years of project management experience in a consulting firm or related environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer license preferred.
- Experience with local municipalities, government agencies a plus.
- Must have demonstrated technical leadership experience, overseeing a project and working with clients.
- Ability to mentor/supervise junior level staff.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
The Salary for this role is $88,400 to $130,000 annually.
