Position Overview
We are currently seeking a highly reliable and physically active Unarmed Security Officer to join our team in Boca Raton/Pompano Beach FL. This position is ideal for a former military service member/law enforcement looking to contribute to church safety and community food pantry program in a visible, disciplined, and impactful role.
This is a permanent assignment, Monday-Friday: 0845 AM-1245 PM/ Sundays 9:30 AM-3:30 PM with opportunities for additional hours. Officers will be stationed at a church campus where professionalism, presence, and proactive deterrence are essential.Â
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and secure campus environment for clergy and guests
- Conduct active patrols of church grounds and access points
- Monitor entry/exit areas and enforce visitor access control procedures
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies swiftly and effectively
- Must be capable of patrolling actively outside on foot
- Deter and detect potential threats through active presence and situational awareness
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Military service preferred
- Valid Florida Class D Security License
- Experience in church, school or institution security preferred
- CPR/First Aid Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Must be physically capable of standing, patrolling
- Excellent verbal communication and de-escalation skills
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Neatly groomed appearance
- Must be able to successfully pass a firearms proficiency test
Schedule
- Â Monday-Friday: 0845am -1245pm
- Sunday 9:30am - 3:30pmÂ
- Opportunity to expand hours based on performance and client needs
Compensation & Benefits
- $20.00 per hourÂ
