Piping Rock is searching for a Mechanical Engineer Intern. Under the direction of the VP of Engineering, the Mechanical Engineer intern will support a variety of projects and should have a strong familiarity in mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities:

Develop AutoCAD files from parts, sketches or brief verbal instructions
Develop AutoCAD files related to block diagrams for either existing or new facilities
AutoCAD drawings for different mechanical parts or systems
Be able to Organize and save all the files in a logical way for future reference
Other duties as needed

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (junior or senior year preferred)
Experience in drawing mechanical parts
Experience with AutoCAD or similar software
Excellent verbal, written communication skills
Strong quantitative ability interpersonal communication and organization skills
Must be able to work part time 2-3 days in office
Ability to lift 50 pounds
