Summary:

As the Quality Assurance Engineer II, you provide critical support to ensure the quality and reliability of North Atlantic Industries’ electronic systems throughout the manufacturing process. You coordinate across departments, suppliers, and customers, including government agencies, to identify and resolve quality issues that directly impact production yield, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.


Requirements

  • Support failure analysis for supplier related issues and institute supplier corrective actions.
  • Conduct investigations on factory non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, and ensure closure of corrective actions. 
  • Lead and conduct internal audits and support external audits related to AS9100/ISO 9001, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Serve as the point of contact for operations team on subjects involving control of product quality. 
  • Assist with customer post-delivery issues and complete customer RCCA requests.
  • Analyze quality data, yield metrics, and defect trends to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage critical Quality process such as the MRB (Material Review Board) or CRAB (Corrective Action Review Board) and resolution of day-to-day non-conformances.
  • Assist in developing, reviewing, and maintaining quality documentation such as procedures, work instructions, inspection plans, and quality records.
  • Support various activities to improve, maintain, and promote the quality management system.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Quality Engineer I and Quality Technicians as needed.
  • Candidates must be a U.S. Person, defined as either a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder), and must be able to provide appropriate documentation upon hire to verify this status. Please note that some positions involve sensitive customer contracts and require U.S. citizenship as a condition of employment.


Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 
  • Minimum of 2 years in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Quality Control or other related experience and background in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Fundamental knowledge of electronics, mechanical, and manufacturing concepts.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present quality data and findings clearly.
  • Fundamental knowledge on failure analysis and process-oriented thinking.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with IPC standards (e.g., IPC A 610, J STD 001), workmanship standards and AS9100 standards.
  • Skills to support data analytics, and knowledge in statistical process control are a plus.
