Job Description:
Triage - Registered Nurse (RN)Â
Location: Bohemia, NY
Hours/Days: M-F (8.5hr Shifts)
Organization :New York Cancer And Blood Specialists (NYCBS)

In this role, you will:
Create individualized care plans for patients under your supervision and care.
Must possess strong critical thinking skills to evaluate patient symptoms rapidly and make informed decisions about their care priorities.
Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise and knowledge
Ability to convey information clearly and compassionately
Provide supportive resources to the patient and the families to promote a positive outlook.
Teach patients and the families regarding treatment expectations.
Watch and record the patient’s progress on a constant basis
Chart the patient’s response to treatment and medication.
Complete MAR after treatment.
Provide the patient with discharge instructions that are specific to the patient as well as emergency numbers after care
Complete injectionsÂ
We require:
Valid New York State RN License
Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with an EMR (preferred)
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
What we offer:
Salary starting at $48 per hour based on experience
