I.T. Support Technician

About the Position:

IMCO is seeking an IT Support Technician to grow with our Idaho regional team. This position will be the primary point of contact for inbound IT support requests from employees at both jobsite and office locations. This is a great position for someone who is motivated and wants to grow their IT career. 

The primary functions of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Installs, configures, and maintains business equipment, systems, and user accounts.
  • Documenting inbound requests, troubleshooting and resolving client requests, educating employees on general self-service tips, escalating systems issues and/or complex matters, and repurposing and preparing equipment for use.
  • Requires active listening, independent analysis, problem-solving, and a service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

IMCO seeks a visionary employee with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to make confident decisions.

Typical duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Receive and document initial telephone or electronic support requests.
  • Provide a high level of customer service, handling technical issues during scheduled hours and scheduled on-call rotations.
  • Maintain an IT ticket log and library of issue resolutions. 
  • Identify and prioritize high-priority issues.  Escalate critical items to management.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop, laptop, tablet, mobile devices, and peripherals
  • Remove old equipment and perform data migration to new machines.
  • Maintain an inventory of installed software and hardware; manage software licensing.
  • Create user accounts and manage access control based on company policies.
  • Ability to travel from one work location to another to perform job technology setup, teardown, and maintenance.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Schedule and Travel Requirements:

  • This is a full-time position
  • Travel to various company offices and/or construction project sites throughout the Treasure Valley and some parts of Oregon. Up to 25% travel within the assigned area
  • Travel to the corporate Office in Ferndale, Washington, several times a year

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Wage is $25-$30 hourly, depending on experience and certifications.
  • Medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage is available on the first day of the month following 60 days of employment.
  • 401(k) match on eligible wages and is available for eligible employees on the first of the month following 60 days of employment. IMCO offers 100% contribution matching up to 4% of the employee’s eligible wages.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in information technology, vocational technology training, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of experience working within an IT team with little direct daily supervision.
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware and software systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills & the ability to effectively disseminate information to team members with different levels of technical skills.
  • High Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Current and valid driver’s license - with a clean and insurable driving record and capable of maintaining a clean and insurable driving record.
  • Access to reliable transportation 
  • Maintain a professional image and attitude with all stakeholders in the company.
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Pre-employment drug testing is required.
  • A criminal background check is required; one must be able to pass security clearance requirements for select projects.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements.
  • Commitment to teamwork, safe work practices, and integrity.
