Summary
This role manages the financial record keeping, reporting and other accounting functions with a focus on the Global Controllership. This position will support Global Food consolidation and coordinate affiliate and elimination accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external use in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards.
- Accountable for completeness, accuracy and maintaining in-depth knowledge ofthe accounts and related content that make-up our Financial Statements.
- Prepares appropriate explanations relating to report items of particular interest or significance, uses some judgment in determining what would be of interest or importance.
- Assist with creating reports on financial performance for internal use.
- Oversees and evaluates the activities of the accounting staff and provides for their professional development and performance feedback.
- Assist in aligning and directing accounting policies and practices.
- Works closely with FP&A, auditors, public accountants and other financial professionals.
- Identify area of accounting risk and modify or implement controls as necessary to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ability to interact and communicate with a variety of people on many different levels in person and remotely and manage interpersonal relationships and conflict.
Typical Education
| Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university |
Relevant Experience
| 8+ years related experience and/or training |
Other Information
- Prior supervisory experience
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Combination of education, training and/or experience will be considered for this position
- Experience with JDE, Agvance, Power BI, Axiom or SAP preferred
