Job Summary
The role of the Warehouse Agent is a physically demanding position, requiring regular and continuous lifting up to 30 lbs. Individuals who want to thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy physical work will be successful with our Warehouse Team. Express Cargo Agents perform a variety of warehouse duties, including receiving and processing inbound and outbound airfreight.
The expected pay rate is $21.50/hr. Full-time employees are offered a range of health and wellness benefits as well as 401(k) with company match paid vacation time, sick time, and company paid holidays.
Your activities
- Facilitate loading and unloading of trucks and move freight and containers throughout the cargo warehouse
- Manually sort/transfer packages/boxes into and out of containers for aircraft and trucks with urgency
- Ensure all cargo is scanned for tracking where appropriate.
- Make sure label related to the cargo is correct
- Assure proper handling and delivery of cargo and operation of related equipment
- Roll loaded containers to staging positions
- May operate pallet jacks or move package carts
- Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
- Follow Dangerous Goods Requirements and Regulations
- Comply with Swissport Standard Operating Procedures and Policies
Your profile
- Good command of the English language both verbal and written
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Ability to pass all required background checks
- Ability to lift 30 lbs unassisted
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to work flexible working hours
- Ability to work in inclement weather when applicable
