Executive Director – Hospice

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead the overall operations and strategic direction of our hospice program. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and strong team leadership.

The ideal candidate brings clinical leadership experience, strong operational management skills, and a passion for compassionate end-of-life care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and management of hospice operations, including clinical services, administration, and compliance
  • Lead and support interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives to support organizational growth and performance
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and hospice regulatory requirements
  • Manage budgets, financial performance, and operational efficiency
  • Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, referral partners, and community organizations
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop staff to maintain a high-performing team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Active RN license required
  • 5+ years of clinical experience, preferably in hospice or home health
  • Leadership or management experience within a healthcare setting
  • Strong communication, operational, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of hospice regulations and best practices
