Stantec is seeking an experienced and versatile civil engineer with design and construction experience including stormwater, potable water, irrigation, and sanitary sewer design, plant site and other water/sewer conveyance elements. This is an opportunity for a driven individual to serve as a civil lead on local and regional water treatment, wastewater treatment, and conveyance projects, supporting critical client infrastructure improvement projects throughout Idaho and Stantec’s Mountain West Region. Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead our local civil team
- Mentor junior staff
- Support project team in development of civil design documentation, plans, specifications, and reports for project design elements.
- Prepare documentation required for stormwater permitting through local jurisdictions.
- Perform quality reviews for documents in various project phases including construction plans, reviewing agency submittal packages, and engineering calculation reports.
- Assist in preparing engineering calculation reports including but not limited to: stormwater design, potable water design and sanitary sewer design.
- Attend project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.
- Coordinate and keep consistent communication within a multi-discipline team.
- Assist in the review of shop drawings and submittals, responds to request for information, prepares site observation reports, and performs other construction administration tasks related to the civil design component of the project.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of civil systems and materials.
- Participate in value engineering and basic cost estimating.
- Perform calculations to analyze and design civil system components using company standard software.Â
