About the Role

The Bartender/Server provides beverage service in restaurant and banquet/event settings. This role creates welcoming guest experiences and supports smooth food and beverage operations.

Essential Functions

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards.

  • Provide friendly, professional service to restaurant guests and event attendees.

  • Set up, stock, and break down bar areas for restaurant service and events.

  • Follow Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for banquet and event bar service as applicable.

  • Verify guest identification and comply with alcohol service laws and company policies.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas, including equipment and storage.

  • Accurately process orders and handle cash/credit transactions per policy.

  • Monitor guest consumption and practice responsible alcohol service.

  • Coordinate with servers, banquet staff, and kitchen to support service flow.

  • Assist with inventory counts, restocking, and reporting as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Prior bartending experience preferred (restaurant or banquet/event bartending a plus).

Education & Certifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Current alcohol service permit/license as required by state/local law (or ability to obtain).

  • Must obtain and maintain a valid Food Handler’s Card in accordance with applicable state and local requirements.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, wine, and beverage presentation.

  • Excellent guest service and communication skills.

  • Ability to multitask in fast-paced restaurant and event environments.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy with orders and cash handling.

  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.

  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable.

Availability

  • Scheduling may include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds; move cases/kegs as needed.

Work Environment

This position operates in a hotel food and beverage environment with variable pace and guest interaction.
