An adult inpatient psychiatry position is available starting mid-September, offering a MondayFriday schedule with 8-hour days and shared night call. The role includes managing consults, new admissions, discharges, and emergencies across two units totaling 37 beds, typically with a census of 30+ patients. The provider will round on 1518 patients daily, with admissions and discharges varying depending on bed availability. While theres no cap on admissions or consults, the average is 57 admissions and 45 discharges daily. A dedicated consult service handles approximately 3 new consults per day, and H&Ps are completed by the family practice team. The unit is currently staffed by 2 physicians and 23 residents, with no APPs.

The Child & Adolescent inpatient psychiatry unit has 25 beds with a current census of around 20, staffed by 1 psychiatrist and 1 MHNP. Providers typically round on 1014 patients per day, with 23 admissions and 23 discharges daily. Average length of stay is 10 days. Providers rotate consult duties 12 days per week, averaging 12 consults per day, while H&Ps are completed by Family Practice providers. Patients are primarily 1317 years old with psychiatric diagnoses such as depression with suicidal ideation, mood dysregulation, and occasional early-onset psychosis. The EMR used is Meditech.
