We are currently hiring a Warehouse Operations Support for our Boise team. Compensation: $18 per hour Schedule(s): Monday through Friday, 10:00am - 6:00pm Monday through Friday, 6:00pm - 2:00am Pay Classification: Hourly FLSA Designation: Non-Exempt General Statement of Duties This position is responsible for the general cleaning of the warehouse. This is emptying the trash cans throughout the warehouse, sweeping of the entire warehouse, picking up and cleaning wrap off of pick pallets, and other duties associated tot the shift Supervisor you report to. This is a physically demanding position that functions under direct supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor and has little latitude for independent direction in duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The primary function of an employee in this class is to perform the physical tasks associated to the production team’s needs regarding cleanliness of the warehouse floor. Other primary responsibilities include assisting in other areas of product movement processes as necessary and as illustrated below: · Safety- Perform all duties in a safe manner as defined in the HBC safety policy. · Forklift- May be certified to operate different kinds of forklifts and electric pallet jacks to move product, pallets, trash receptacles, and wrap/cardboard totes. · Cleanliness- Constantly maintaining the overall cleanliness and order of the warehouse and the surrounding areas. · All other- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Duties are subject to change at the discretion of HBC, to accommodate the changes and needs of the industry and our customers. · Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities · Demonstrate the ability to follow directions and with necessary attention to detail. · Demonstrate the ability to successfully function as a member of a team through communication while engaging in self-directed resourcefulness. · Demonstrate the ability to be certified on lift truck equipment if deemed necessary. · Drug and/or alcohol testing- Successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug test with a negative result for the presence of controlled substances to be accepted for employment with the Company. · Participate and pass random drug tests in accordance with the Company’s established Drug Free Workplace programs. · Background – Ability to pass criminal background and employment reference check. Essential Physical Abilities · Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, communicating effectively with others in person and by telephone. · Sufficient visual and mental acuity which permits the employee to comprehend written and verbal work instructions and make determination of necessary actions to take to comply with hygiene and appearance standards for the facility. Uniforms may be provided and when provided must be worn in a safe manner, shirts consistent with instructions as provided. · Sufficient visual and manual dexterity which permits the employee to operate safely in a fast-moving environment. · Standing/moving up to 4 hours at a time, push/pull/slide/be able to walk up and down stairs. · Schedule may vary but workday can regularly exceed 8-10 hours. · Sufficient body mobility, flexibility, and agility to lift 28 to 60 pounds, up to 500 to 1000 times a day, as well as lift 158 pounds up to 24” off the ground. Also, must be able to climb up and down forklifts and ladders without difficulty stand for the duration of their shift and walk an equivalent of several miles per day.
