M&A & Integration Specialist – Transactions & Food Manufacturing
Location: Hybrid (remote & in-office, North America)
The Role
Following an internal evolution and continued growth, Solina is creating this new position within its Americas M&A & Transformation team.
Reporting to the Head of M&A for the Americas, you will support the full M&A lifecycle—from transaction execution through post-merger integration—working closely with North American leadership and Group functions (Operations, Finance, R&D, Procurement, Commercial).
This role goes beyond traditional finance. Success requires strong transaction skills and a genuine interest in manufacturing environments, with regular on-site involvement at acquired food businesses.
Key Responsibilities
M&A Transactions
Support end-to-end M&A processes across food ingredients and food manufacturing
Financial analysis, valuation, business plans, and synergy assessment
Identification of key risks during due diligence
Coordination of financial, operational, and commercial due diligence
Collaboration with external advisors (banks, legal, tax, TS)
Preparation of investment memoranda and presentations
Support negotiation of transaction documentation
(Typical deal flow: ~2 transactions per year)
Post-Merger Integration & Value Creation
Contribute to integration planning and execution
Support initiatives across manufacturing performance, procurement, pricing, margins, and R&D alignment
Analyze operational and financial data to identify performance levers
Track integration progress and escalate key issues
Participate in short- to mid-term on-site assignments
Cross-Functional Projects
Strategic and operational performance analysis
Cost optimization and procurement synergies
Manufacturing footprint and capacity assessments
Best-practice implementation across the Group
Candidate Profile
Experience
~3 years in Investment Banking (M&A), Transaction Services, Private Equity, or Corporate Development
Hands-on experience on completed M&A transactions
Exposure to industrial or manufacturing businesses is a strong plus
Post-merger integration or operational project experience highly valued
Skills & Mindset
Strong financial and analytical skills with operational awareness
Understanding of manufacturing cost structures
Advanced Excel and solid PowerPoint skills
Hands-on, pragmatic, and solution-oriented
Comfortable working with both senior leadership and plant-level teams
Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn
Willingness to travel (~30%)

Salary Range: $85,000 – $120,000 (depending on experience and location)
