Position OverviewĀ 

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focusedĀ  Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to support daily operations at our Meineke Auto Repair shop in Mundelein. The ideal candidate will combine strong communication skills with practical problem-solving ability, ensuring excellent customer experiences while assisting the store team with administrative and operational tasks. This role requires initiative, professionalism, and a willingness to step in wherever needed to help the shop succeed.Ā 

Key ResponsibilitiesĀ 

Customer CommunicationĀ 

Ā·Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  • Keep multiple customers updated on the status of their vehicle repairs.Ā 
Ā·Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  • Handle incoming phone calls and in-person inquiries with professionalism.Ā 
Ā·Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  • Respond to customer complaints with empathy, patience, and solutions-focused communication.Ā 

Operational SupportĀ 

Ā·Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  • Assist in managing daily shop operations as directed by the Store Manager.Ā 
Ā·Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  • Receive, log, and organize incoming parts deliveries.Ā 
Ā·Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  • Process returns of unused parts and maintain proper records.Ā 
Ā·Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  • Order shop supplies and ensure adequate inventory levels for smooth operations.Ā 

Team & Store SuccessĀ 

Ā·Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  • Support the shop team by coordinating administrative tasks and reducing bottlenecks.Ā 
Ā·Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  • Step in to help with other duties as needed to ensure store goals are met.Ā 
Ā·Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  • Maintain a professional, positive presence that represents the Meineke brand.Ā 

QualificationsĀ 

Ā·Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  • Previous administrative, customer service, or office support experience (automotive industry experience a plus).Ā 
Ā·Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to remain friendly and professional in high-pressure situations.Ā

Compensation & BenefitsĀ
