About the Role
Every great fleet needs an even better mechanic behind the scenes! At GFL Environmental, our heavy-duty garbage trucks, roll-offs, and hydraulic equipment keep Brunswick County clean—and you’re the expert who keeps them running at peak performance.

  • Continuous Improvement: Work alongside a skilled team to solve tough mechanical puzzles and keep shop efficiency sky-high.

What We’re Looking For

  • Tools of the Trade: Your own basic set of mechanic hand tools (specialty tools and heavy equipment provided in-shop).

  • CDL Advantage: A valid CDL (or willingness to obtain one) is a big plus for test-driving vehicles!

  • Problem Solver: Sharp diagnostic skills, attention to detail, and a pride-in-ownership attitude toward fleet safety.

Why Fix Mechanics with GFL?

  • Steady, Year-Round Work: Essential industry stability—no seasonal layoffs.

  • Competitive Wages & Full Benefits: Great hourly pay, medical, dental, vision, paid leave, and retirement planning.
