Full-Time | Morning Star Academy | Bonham, Texas
Do Work That Matters
Caring for infants and toddlers is not easy work. It is active, sometimes messy, and requires a tremendous amount of patience.
It is also incredibly rewarding.
You get to be there for first words, first steps, new discoveries, big smiles, and countless little moments that matter. You become a trusted part of a child's world during some of the most important years of development.
Morning Star Academy is looking for an experienced, dependable, and nurturing Infant/Toddler Teacher to lead a classroom where our youngest learners feel safe, loved, and excited to explore.
This is more than supervising children. Our teachers are early childhood professionals who understand that relationships, play, routines, and intentional experiences all help build the foundation for future learning.
What You'll Do
As an Infant/Toddler Teacher, you will:
- Create a safe, nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
- Build strong, responsive relationships with each child in your care.
- Plan and implement meaningful learning experiences through play, music, movement, sensory exploration, art, books, and hands-on discovery.
- Observe children's development and provide experiences that support their individual needs and next steps.
- Maintain required classroom records and developmental documentation.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with families about their child's day, development, and milestones.
- Maintain a clean, organized, inviting classroom.
- Follow all Morning Star Academy policies and Texas childcare licensing health and safety requirements.
- Work collaboratively with assistants, teammates, and school leadership.
- Model patience, kindness, professionalism, and Christian character.
We're Looking for Someone Who...
- Genuinely loves working with infants and toddlers.
- Understands early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practice.
- Can take ownership of a classroom and its daily routines.
- Is dependable and understands that young children and teammates are counting on them to be here.
- Can remain patient and responsive when several little people need something at the same time.
- Communicates confidently and professionally with families.
- Is organized and able to complete required documentation.
- Works well as part of a team and is willing to jump in when needed.
- Is committed to learning and growing as an early childhood professional.
- Can meet all state childcare licensing requirements.
Previous early childhood classroom experience is strongly preferred.
Why Morning Star Academy?
At Morning Star Academy, we believe early childhood education matters. Our youngest students are not simply being cared for while their parents work—they are learning, developing, building relationships, and discovering the world around them.
We invest in our teachers through professional development, curriculum and classroom resources, and opportunities to grow as early childhood educators.
Most importantly, you will be part of a Christian school community committed to helping children Love God, Love Others, and Love Learning.
This job is hard. But if you want to go home knowing your work mattered to a child and family that day, it may be exactly what you're looking for.
We would love to meet you.
