Job Purpose/Objective

To manage coordination and lead improvement initiative programs in the delivery of pre-DG3 energy transition and decarbonization opportunities across the plant and non-plant assets; develop credible solutions that take full advantage of competitive scoping methodologies with minimum disruption to existing production.

Main Accountabilities

1) Coordinate, monitor and manage the delivery of energy transition and decarbonization opportunities related to company’s energy transition journey and aspiration to achieve NZE operations while ensuring compliance to technical requirements, competitive scoping and cost efficiency of the portfolio of opportunities; and minimize disruption to on-going
operations, impact on people and the environment.

2) Develop and execute key decisions & comprehensive roadmaps and coordinate the execution of fully integrated technical work plan and management systems for some of the opportunities, inclusive of all contributions irrespective of disciplines.

3) Owns and manages key project deliverables, including PCAP, Risk Register and Management Plan, Stakeholder Engagement Plan, Impact Assessment, Project Schedule and Cost Estimate to support the project to Define Phase. Delivers credible/technically sound (screening level) development concept ensuring integration of the full TECOP spectrum of risk and uncertainty into the preparation of cost, schedule and resources estimates.

4) Demonstrate HSSE Leadership, champion Project Risks and Process Safety accountabilities and manage competences of HSSE critical resources to safely operate and manage assets. Drive the review of and learnings from proactive observations and incidents.

5) Ensure key study deliverables and key project decisions are properly documented, signed off, and retained; Identify: PIN, cost estimate & schedule; Assess: premise document and feasibility report; Select: Project execution strategy and Basis for Design.

6) Consult and advise BOM(s) and DEs on updates to current projects, improvement initiatives status and projections, other key project level deliverables and assumptions; responsible for a robust and up to date risk register and mitigation plan for technical issues.

7) Generate, evaluate and propose asset decarbonization options based on sound economic analysis and taking appropriate account of equipment count and variety.


Requirements

Education

A university-level degree in Chemical Engineering or other engineering/science discipline

Experience
  • Minimum 10 - 12 years post-graduation experience in a combination of engineering design, construction, project management, LNG Operations and Technology assignments.
  • Experience in Process Engineering is required. Some understanding of Reliability Engineering will be an advantage.
  • At least 5 years should have been spent in a similar position in the oil and gas industry.
  • Ability to interface with Engineering, Assets, Operations, Maintenance, Technology and HSE are critical.
