Job Description

CAMS is part of the Associa family.

Blue Ridge Mountain Club, a beautiful private mountain community in Boone, NC is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced bartender to provide an excellent guest experience.

Compensation includes base rate of $17.00-19.00 and tips.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
• Serves patrons with food and beverages in a positive and friendly manner.
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
• Plan and present bar menu
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking ageRestock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Presents ordered choices in a prompt and efficient manner.
• Prepares room for dining by clothing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils.
• Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Transmits orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons’ choices and identifying patrons’ special dietary needs and special requests.
• Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.
• Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
• Concludes dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant and inviting patrons to return.Obtains revenues by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments, delivering bills and payments to host, and returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons.

Requirements

• Resume and proven working experience as a bartender/server
• Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
• General math skills
• Computer literacy
• Knowledge of a second language is a plus
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
• Relevant training certificate

$17-19$ an hour based on experience. We have a service charge in lieu of tips at Blue Ridge Mountain Club which allows us to pay a higher hourly wage. Patrons may choose to tip as they wish, and tips will be added to a tip pool and distributed evenly amongst the waitstaff who worked during that shift.
