Position Summary
The IT Support Specialist serves as the primary Tier II IT resource supporting Master Trades Group's corporate office and regional branch locations. While a third-party vendor provides Tier I support for Microsoft 365 and basic end-user issues, this role focuses on advanced desktop support, systems administration, business applications, networking, endpoint management, hardware lifecycle management, and local infrastructure support.
This position partners closely with internal employees and external technology vendors to maintain reliable IT operations while supporting new branch acquisitions, office expansions, and enterprise technology initiatives.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Tier II Technical Support
- Resolve escalated desktop, laptop, printer, mobile device, and peripheral issues not handled by the Tier I support provider.
- Troubleshoot Windows operating systems, networking, VPN connectivity, hardware, and business application issues.
- Provide onsite and remote technical support for employees across multiple branch locations.
- Maintain excellent customer service while communicating technical solutions clearly to end users.
Systems & Infrastructure Support
- Administer Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, including user provisioning, permissions, security groups, and access management.
- Support Windows-based infrastructure, endpoint management, and device security.
- Assist with Microsoft Azure administration and hybrid cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot networking issues including DNS, DHCP, VPN, TCP/IP, wireless connectivity, and remote access.
- Support VoIP phone systems and conference room technology.
Business Applications
- Provide Tier II support for ServiceTitan, Sage Intacct, ADP, Egnyte, and other enterprise business applications.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors supporting Microsoft 365 and other managed services.
- Assist with software deployments, upgrades, testing, and issue resolution.
IT Operations
- Manage computer imaging, hardware deployments, equipment replacements, warranty repairs, and technology lifecycle management.
- Maintain inventory of computers, mobile devices, peripherals, and other IT assets.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure adherence to IT security standards and company policies.
Projects
- Support technology implementations, office expansions, and acquisition integrations.
- Participate in infrastructure improvements and technology standardization initiatives.
- Research and recommend hardware and software solutions that improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of IT Support, Desktop Support, Systems Support, or Help Desk experience.
- Experience supporting Windows operating systems, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and enterprise desktop environments.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure or hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience troubleshooting networking issues including DNS, DHCP, VPN, TCP/IP, and wireless connectivity.
- Experience supporting business applications and multi-site environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel occasionally to branch locations.
Preferred
- Experience supporting ServiceTitan, Sage Intacct, ADP, Egnyte, or similar enterprise applications.
- Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot experience.
- Windows Server administration experience.
- Experience supporting acquisitions, office moves, or multi-location organizations.
- Residential home services or field service industry experience.
- PowerShell scripting experience.

- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
- Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator (SC-300)
