Forklift Operator

About the Role:

As a Forklift Operator, your main responsibility will be to safely and efficiently operate a forklift to move and stack materials in a warehouse or distribution center. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials throughout the facility, contributing to the overall success of the organization. Your attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols will be essential in preventing accidents and maintaining a productive work environment. Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid forklift operator certification
• Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution center setting
• Ability to safely lift and move heavy objects
• Knowledge of RF scan guns and warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Familiarity with pallet jacks and other material handling equipment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with distribution center operations
• Knowledge of order picking processes and procedures
• Ability to perform basic maintenance on forklifts and other equipment
• Experience with inventory management systems
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse or distribution center
• Stack and organize products in designated areas to maximize storage space
• Perform cycle counting to ensure accurate inventory levels and reconcile any discrepancies
• Pick and pack orders according to customer specifications, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment
