Description
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
To inspect, package and palletize products to Truvant and customer specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete all required paperwork that applies to specified areas and products
- Understand palletization of each product
- Identify defects in packages/pouches
- Monitor weights and case counts
- Assemble cases either manually or automatically using case making machine
- Operate a pallet jack
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
- One year of hands-on experience in manufacturing preferred but not required
- On the job training provided
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
- Knowledge gained through on the job training of company products, policies, and procedures
- Ability to pay close attention to detail
- Skill in operating various equipment as needed to perform the job
- Ability to function cooperatively and effectively in a team environment with peers and personnel in other departments
- Ability to keep company and customer information that is discussed or viewed while under employment with Truvant confidential
- Ability to adhere to all regulatory and company policies, procedures, work instructions including but not limited to: Truvant policies, customer specific policies, ISO, GMP’s, USDA, regulatory food safety and food defense
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to read documents, printouts, computer screens and other communication
- Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers
- Must be able to reach, touch, grasp
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to climb, stoop/kneel, lift, pull and push
- Must be able to conduct yourself in a safe manner to avoid accidents while on the production floor
- Must be able to work in various environments based on building location and products.Â
- Level of Physical Requirements: Sedentary to medium work level; lifting and positioning weight loads up to 50 pounds
