Job Summary

Ellis Home & Garden on Airline Dr. in Bossier City, LA is now accepting applications for a FT Lead Front-End Cashier Manager. We are seeking an efficient Lead Front-End Cashier Manager to oversee daily checkout operations. You will manage frontline cashiers, optimize customer service, and ensure accurate financial balancing. Your goal is to minimize wait times while maintaining a friendly, professional store environment. Responsibilities and Duties

Supervise: train, and mentor a team of 8-10 front-end cashiers.
Manage Cash: Oversee cash drawer assignments, vault drops, and daily reconciliation.
Resolve Escalations: Handle customer complaints and returns.
Optimize Workflow: Monitor front-end traffic to adjust staffing levels dynamically during peak hours.
Enforce Policy: Ensure strict compliance with store policies and safety protocols.
Track Performance: Conduct regular performance reviews and implement speed-of-service improvements.

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum 2 years of retail supervisory or front-end management experience
Proven proficiency in cash handling, POS systems and basic accounting skills
Computer proficiency required
Strong ability to lead and motivate team members, delegate tasks and resolve internal conflicts.
Clear verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and upper management.
Flexible availability required; including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Able to stand for extended periods of time
Able to lift 30lbs. +/-
High School Diploma or GED required
Some college preferred
Retail point of sale experience preferred
Excellent Customer Service skills
Must be 18 years of age

Pay starting $13.00 per hour; dependent upon experience
