Responsibilities

Where You'll Make an Impact:

  • Set up and break down outdoor bar stations in a timely, organized, and efficient manner.
  • Provide exceptional beverage service, taking orders and serving drinks to pool guests and cabana patrons quickly and accurately.
  • Manage all cash and credit card transactions in compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain inventory levels, restocking supplies as needed throughout the shift.
  • Keep the bar area clean, sanitary, and guest-ready at all times.
  • Supervise and guide barback support to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure guests remain within responsible alcohol consumption limits, adhering to company policy and regulatory standards.
  • Engage guests with a friendly, professional attitude, enhancing their overall poolside experience.
  • Maintain consistent personal and bar appearance standards appropriate for an upscale pool environment.
  • Demonstrate strong product knowledge in spirits, cocktails, beer, and wine, including seasonal and signature offerings.
  • Understand and operate bar equipment, including pool-specific systems and Easy Bar System, with precision.
  • Uphold health, safety, and sanitation regulations in an outdoor service environment.
  • Perform other poolside hospitality duties as assigned.

Skills to Help You Succeed:

  • Strong upselling and suggestive selling skills, especially in a resort or high-end setting.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and balancing cash drawers.
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to follow instructions and deliver superior service in English.
  • Ability to stay composed and professional when managing intoxicated guests or high-volume rushes.
  • Comfort working collaboratively with team members across departments.

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Bartending or mixology training a plus.
  • Experience: 6 months to 1 year of bartending experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment—resort or pool experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods.
  • Must be comfortable in an environment with alcohol, smoking, and loud music.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain LACT Alcohol Certification (Responsible Vendor) and a Bossier City ABO Card.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification (Training will be provided).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods without sitting or leaning.
  • Frequent climbing, stretching, bending, and walking in outdoor conditions.
  • Tolerance for high heat, humidity, and sun exposure throughout shift.
