JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth through new account acquisition, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention. This role enhances brand visibility by engaging directly with store-level decision-makers, influencing purchasing behavior, and executing in-store merchandising and promotional strategies. The Sales Representative provides tailored solutions to meet customer needs, delivers exceptional service, and processes orders on-site to support sales goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Account Management:

  • Create and maintain strong relationships with On-Premise and Off-Premise accounts
  • Conduct regular visits to accounts to maintain current placements and ensure ongoing satisfaction
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned On- and Off-premise clients, fostering long-term partnerships

Sales Execution:

  • Sell in new products to On-premise and Off-premise accounts and identify opportunities for portfolio expansion.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets within the assigned territory
  • Drive product visibility and velocity through strategic placements and menu features 

Brand Programming and Marketing:

  • Execute brand programs, promotions, and supplier initiatives at the account level
  • Coordinate and support on-site events such as tastings, staff trainings, and promotional activations
  • Ensure proper execution of brand standards and promotional materials across all accounts

Territory Management:

  • Travel daily within the assigned territory to service accounts and pursue new business
  • Prioritize high-impact visits to maximize territory efficiency and sales opportunities
  • Monitor and report on account performance and compliance with program execution 

Reporting and Insights:

  • Provide regular feedback on market trends, competitor activity, and account-level opportunities
  • Track sales activities, placements, and promotional effectiveness
  • Deliver actionable insights to internal stakeholders to support strategic planning

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time may include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or mobile device
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
  • Require lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 45 lbs.
  • Requires driving daily to and from customer accounts within assigned territories


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of the industry preferred
  • Proven track record in achieving sales goals and executing market programs that support corporate initiatives
  • Strong PC application skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and professionally
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact across teams in a fast-paced environment 
  • Must be proactive, resourceful, and efficient
  • This position requires attendance at local meetings, local travel and occasional out-of-town travel
  • 21 years or older, High School Diploma or GED
  • Hold a valid and current Louisiana driver’s license within MVR policy guidelines throughout employment
  • Ensure reliable, insured transportation, in accordance with company policy
    • The policy must include the following minimum coverage: $100,000 for bodily injury, $300,000 for liability, and $50,000 for property damage
  • Must be able to pass a background and drug screening for hire and randomly throughout employment
