Function (Scope and Main Purpose of Job)

Responsible for the installation and maintenance of locks, keys and security systems throughout Live! Casino and Hotel. Duplicates keys, replaces and re-keys locks as necessary, and ensures that all security devices are in adequate working condition. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision.

Specific Responsibilities and Duties
- Install locks and closers in doors and disassemble electrical and mechanical locking devices
- Maintain locking systems including Zephyr Locks and Keeper Systems by repairing and replacing worn springs, tumblers and other parts
- Maintain records of company locks and keys
- Open locks by drilling if necessary
- Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Job Requirements (skills, knowledge, and abilities)
- Must be able to read, write and understand English
- Answer all calls promptly and maintain politeness, pay attention to the needs of guests and team members at all times.
- Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment
- Ability to use all necessary tools and equipment to perform maintenance functionsÂ
Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred
- One (1) – 3 years of experience preferred
- Must be able to comply with all state gaming regulations, which may include obtaining a license.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to push/ lift 50lbs or more
- Must be able to stand/ walk up to 7 ½ hours per shift
- Must be able to stoop, crouch, kneel and reach with hand and arms
- Must be able to ascend/ descend stairs for at least 4 hours per shift
- Require manual dexterity to operate all necessary equipment
- Exposed to hot and cold temperatures consistent with changing seasons up to 7 ½ hrs per shift
Working Conditions
- 24/7 high energy casino with over 300,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 3000 employees
- Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
