Accounting Manager

About the Opportunity

Our client, a growing and dynamic organization, is seeking a highly motivated Accounting Manager to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a high-impact role within a collaborative accounting group, with strong visibility to leadership and a clear path for growth.

The Accounting Manager will operate as a key individual contributor, working closely with the Controller and FP&A team, and will take ownership of core accounting functions in a fast-paced, evolving environment. While the role does not currently include direct reports, it offers a strong runway into people management as the company scales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and execute key aspects of the month-end and year-end close process
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
  • Maintain and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Manage and enhance accounts payable (AP) processes
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP and strengthen internal controls
  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Collaborate directly with the Controller on reporting, audits, and strategic initiatives
  • Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support decision-making
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
  • Step into future leadership responsibilities as the accounting team grows

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, including month-end close and financial reporting
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
  • Experience with accounts payable (AP) and general ledger management
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems
  • CPA is a plus, but not required
  • Background in public accounting (Big 4 or similar) strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to take ownership, manage priorities, and operate independently in a fast-paced environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
