As a Community Health Worker (CHW) Trainee, you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of people living with complex and/or chronic conditions, many of whom also face multiple barriers accessing care and need the help of CHWs. During the 8-week training program, the CHW Trainee will participate in CHW coursework while also working in assigned Clinical Departments, learning on-the-job skills related to the work of NeighborHealth Community Health Workers. During the training program, CHWās will learn more about health inequalities, the role of community health in supporting patient care, and how to communicate with patients in culturally sensitive ways to improve overall health outcomes. Trainees will report to the Director of Workforce Development.- Participate fully in the 8-week training program by attending all in-person and zoomĀ trainings.Ā

Able toĀ anticipateĀ potential problems andĀ problem-solve independently.Ā Good communicationĀ skills with the ability to work with differentĀ NeighborHealthĀ departments both independently and as a team member.Ā Ā
Program Rate is $20.00 per hour
