Who We Are

Verily is a subsidiary of Alphabet that is using a data-driven approach to change the way people manage their health and the way healthcare is delivered. Launched from Google X in 2015, our purpose is to bring the promise of precision health to everyone, every day. We are focused on generating and activating data from a variety of sources, including clinical, social, behavioral and the real world, to arrive at the best solutions for a person based on a comprehensive view of the evidence. Our unique expertise and capabilities in technology, data science and healthcare enable the entire healthcare ecosystem to drive better health outcomes.

Description

We are looking for a technical and strategic Product Manager to lead one of our core platforms: the Participant System. In this role, you will own the lifecycle of participant (patient/member) data, ensuring that we maintain a pristine, "Golden Record" for every individual we serve.

You will treat data as a product. You will be responsible for defining how participant data is ingested from upstream sources, consolidated into our master store, and propagated accurately to internal clinical tools and external partners. This is a high-impact role where data integrity directly influences patient care outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product vision and roadmap for the Participant Data Domain, prioritizing initiatives that improve data accuracy, scalability, and interoperability.

  • Translate business requirements from Care Management, Billing, Clinical Operations, and external stakeholders into clear technical specifications and prioritized engineering work.

  • Design and own identity resolution, de-duplication, and record-merging logic to maintain a single source of truth across the platform.

  • Lead end-to-end lifecycle tracking of participant records from eligibility and enrollment through active engagement and disenrollment.

  • Drive integrations with upstream and downstream systems, championing interoperability standards (e.g., FHIR) and ensuring compliant, scalable consent management frameworks.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in leading the definition, development, and evolution of multi-tenant platform systems.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, including Agile squads, to deliver large-scale, impactful products.

  • Experience building systems that handle sensitive user data and demonstrated understanding of the unique product, technical, and operational considerations affecting these systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels: shaping long-term product strategy while owning execution details.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize requirements and meet the needs of a wide range of internal and external customers.

  • Familiarity with the Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standard for healthcare data management and interoperability.

  • Experience delivering end user-facing applications and products.

  • Experience working within healthcare technology organizations, especially in high-growth environments.
