About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant specializing in Emergency Medicine for a 72-day locum tenens assignment at a hospital in Massachusetts. Starting 06/09/2025, this opportunity offers various shift options with the potential for additional coverage. The PA will handle all ER cases in a dynamic environment with a 15% admission rate and minimal patient transfers. This role also requires adaptability to varied schedules and proficiency with Epic EMR.

Schedule: Various shifts (7A-7P, 7P-7A, 10A-10P, 7A-5P, 5P-3A)

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide emergency medical care to patients of all ages and conditions 

• Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries 

• Perform medical procedures and interpret diagnostic tests 

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for patient care 

• Manage patient flow and prioritize cases based on severity 

• Maintain accurate and timely medical records using Epic EHR 

• Adhere to all hospital policies and emergency medicine best practices 

• Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and assignment duration 

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education

Additional Information: 

• Massachusetts state license required 

• Experience in emergency medicine with the ability to handle diverse cases 

• Comfort with varied shift schedules, including nights 

• Proficiency in Epic EHR system
