Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell is looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about public service to join her office as an Administrative Assistant in the Privacy and Responsible Technology Division (PRTD). The Division, which is part of the Attorney General’s Public Protection and Advocacy Bureau, investigates and litigates consumer protection issues involving social media, artificial intelligence, data security and privacy, and other manipulative or unfair uses of technology.

 

Primary Duties:

 

  • Provide direct support to the Division Chief, Deputy Division Chief, Assistant Attorneys General, and other personnel involved in PRTD matters, including by preparing reports, documents, and correspondence; managing calendars; and responding to phone calls.
  • Act as first-line contact for the Division for other bureaus and divisions across the Attorney General’s Office.
  • Track cases, record case information, and compile documents using case management software.
  • Process complaints, data breach intakes, and public records requests and make internal and external referrals.
  • Oversee implementation of office procedures related to records retention and archiving for the Division.
  • Support Division matters by preparing forms, filing court documents, collating information or records, and assisting in preparation for hearings, meetings, depositions, or trials.
  • Provide other assistance as directed by PRTD leadership.

 

 

Position Requirements: 



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to diverse working and communication styles.
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency in using case management software or database software or demonstrated ability to self-learn and use software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and balance long- and short-term projects.
  • Excellent work ethic and professionalism.

Location: This position is based in the Boston Office

 

Salary: $58,290

 

Our current hybrid model includes some remote workdays for most positions.
