The OpportunityĀ
As an Asset Allocation Analyst, you will work in a dynamic, innovative, and collaborative environment focused on optimizing investment strategies to support insurance liabilities. You will collaborate on the analysis of market trends, ensure implementation of asset allocation in portfolios, and provide recommendations to enhance portfolio performance. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining tools for portfolio construction and liquidity management. In this role, your combined knowledge of the markets and technical skills will be key to access, aggregate, and analyze market data and portfolio analytics to provide asset allocation insights. You will interact closely with fundamental and quantitative portfolio managers to guide investment decisions and contribute to the strategic direction of the portfolio.Ā

The Asset Allocation group is part of the Fixed Income Portfolio Management team. Our team is comprised of experienced professionals who share a passion for financial markets and investment strategies. We oversee the development and implementation of asset allocation for all portfolios backing insurance products. Our team is involved in determining portfolio asset demand and interacts with internal and external portfolio managers to source private investments and direct trades in public markets. We work very closely with the asset liability management teams, risk management, compliance, and corporate treasury to ensure a comprehensive approach to asset management.Ā

The ImpactĀ
As an Asset Allocation Analyst your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:Ā
Apply your technical knowledge to retrieve and analyze market data and portfolio and trade analytics to generate asset allocation insights leading to portfolio recommendations.Ā
Collaborate in market research and analysis to inform asset allocation decisions.Ā
Utilize and maintain proprietary asset allocation tools to monitor portfolio positions, trades, and private investment commitments using Excel, SQL, Tableau, MicroStrategy, or similar platforms.Ā
Develop and maintain trade allocation investment tools to ensure fair execution of trades across portfolios.Ā
Monitor and evaluate portfolio positioning, risk tolerances and compliance limits, and recommend portfolio adjustments if needed.Ā
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate investment management views with Treasury, Enterprise Risk management, and Corporate Actuarial.Ā
Work closely with portfolio managers to assess tactical changes due to departures in planned product sales, liability cash flows, liquidity, or relative value opportunities.Ā

Minimum QualificationsĀ
Bachelorās Degree in Math, Finance, Economics, or related quantitative fieldĀ
5+ years of experience in financial or actuarial roles, including operations, quantitative roles, portfolio analyst, etc., or advanced degree in finance, actuarial sciences, or related field.Ā
3+ years of experience with Python or similar programming language, Excel, and database query languages (e.g., SQL).Ā
3+ years of experience in financial instruments and asset classes, including Fixed Income securities and its key analytics (e.g., credit spreads, duration, etc.).Ā
3+ years of experience in data analysis techniques relevant to financial data and portfolio analytics.Ā

Preferred QualificationsĀ
Masterās degree in Math, Finance, Economicsor related quantitative fieldĀ
Experiencein synthesizing complexdata and presentingresults to leadershipĀ Ā
