The Role
Valuation Associates serve as members of various client service teams and are exposed to diverse industries and types of companies/assets. The Valuation Services group performs valuations of closely held companies, intangible assets, derivatives, and other assets/liabilities for tax and financial statement reporting, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, and other purposes.
Associate responsibilities include:
- Performing company and industry research and financial analysis;
- Participating in select phases of valuation engagements, including client meetings and interviews;
- Demonstrating of technical, analytical, problem-solving skills and an aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analyses;
- Proactively seeking guidance, clarification, and feedback;
- Supporting select projects demonstrating creative thinking and individual initiative while working as a team member; and
- Demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks while exercising professional skepticism.
The Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related degree;
- A minimum GPA of 3.0;
- Strong leadership, multitasking, and organizational skills;
- Self-starter with initiative to seek out opportunities in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong interpersonal skills; and
- Ability to interact with various levels of client and firm management through both written and verbal communication.
Compensation and Benefits
Our firm offers a competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being, growth, and long-term success of our people. Salary Range: For individuals hired to work in Boston, MA, the expected base salary range for this role is $75,000 to $90,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and skill set.
Benefits: Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance coverage. Employees may enroll in the firm’s 401(k) plan upon hire.
