Overview
Scope of Position
A Bus Person will provide support to restaurant servers and the overall operation of the restaurant by clearing and setting tables and replenishing service areas as necessary to ensure our guests’ satisfaction. Without this support the overall operations and quality of service provided by our servers will not be achieved. This position reports to the Food and Beverage Manager/Supervisor.

Schedule Requirements
The position includes morning and afternoon/evening shifts with regular weekend attendance. Holidays are scheduled as business requires.
Â
Due to the cyclical nature of hospitality, flexibility is required to meet business needs. Participation in “all hands” events may be necessary.

The hotel operates 24/7, including holidays. The company strives to support work-life balance.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner
- Clean, set and clear tables in support of restaurant servers.
- Provide serving support to servers – beverage and food
- Maintain restaurant in clean and orderly manner.
- Move table and chairs as required.
- Coordinate stocking of linens with laundry operations.
- Transport all dirty tableware to dishwashing area for cleaning.
- Stock and maintain stations with necessary equipment – china, glass, linen and silver.
- Serve water, bread, butter, condiments and beverage such as coffee, tea.
- Helping other outlets within the department as needed.
- Responsible for practicing, managing and promoting our Mission and Values so that if becomes intricate part of the everyday operation.
- Completes any duties or projects assigned by the Food and Beverage manager.

- In addition to the performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the Manager on Duty based upon the requirements of the hotel.

Qualifications

Experience:
- Hospitality experience preferred.
- Experience working with diverse cultures and backgrounds preferred.
- Previous exposure to a restaurant environment preferred.
Â
Education:
- High School diploma, general education degree or international equivalent preferred.
- CPR/Heimlich required or will provide training.
Â
Language Skills:
- Fluency of the English language is strongly preferred.
- Ability to understand and compose instructions, memos, and short correspondence.
