Job Summary
Summary<br>Following established policies, procedures, and study protocols, provides assistance on clinical research studies, including recruiting, evaluating, and consenting patients for studies; collecting and organizing patient data; scheduling patients for study visits; performing clinical tests such as phlebotomy, EKGs, etc.; and maintaining and updating data generated by the study. Candidates who are in the process of completing their bachelor's degree have a six-month grace period from their hire date (up to one year if starting on a per diem basis)Ā to provide degree equivalency verification.<br><br>Does this position require Patient Care?<br>No<br><br>Essential Functions<br>-Reviews proposals for compliance with sponsor and organizational guidelines; verifies that all sponsor requirements are met. <br>-Recruiting patients for clinical trials and conducting phone interviews. <br>
-Verifies the accuracy of study forms and updates them per protocol. <br>
-Prepares data for analysis and data entry. <br>
-Documents patient visits and procedures. <br>
-Assists with regulatory binders and QA/QC Procedures. <br>
-Assists with interviewing study subjects. <br>
-Assists with study regulator submissions. <br>

The Medical Practice Evaluation Center (MPEC) is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator with a strong computer programming background to work with an internationally recognized multidisciplinary team from Massachusetts General Hospital dedicated to improving clinical outcomes, increasing value in health policy, and informing global public health through innovative research, collaboration, and education. MPEC is a dynamic, results-oriented, and diverse group that values the unique contribution of its Research Assistants.
Responsibilities may include, for example:
- Participate in simulation model development and design
- Execute simulation model runs to address critical policy research questions
- Extract model projections and summarize findings in tables
- Create publication-quality visualizations, dashboards, and decision-support tools that effectively communicate model output and analytical results
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary domestic and international scientists to assess datasets, develop modeling methodologies, design research questions, and present model findings to policymakers, collaborators, and community partners
- Assist in writing abstracts and designing posters for submission to research conferences
- Present study results to project teams and external stakeholders
- Assist with the preparation of Data Use Agreements, Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications, and related documents regarding the protection of human subjects
- Perform systematic literature reviews and synthesize relevant data
- Help prepare grant applications
- Provide administrative support as needed, including organizing meetings and preparing slides for lectures and seminars
