Make an Impact in Affordable Housing

Trinity Management LLC is seeking an experienced Corporate Compliance Specialist to join our corporate team in Boston and support our growing affordable housing portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity for an affordable housing professional who brings strong expertise in LIHTC, Section 8, HOME, Public Housing, and other affordable housing programs and enjoys partnering with property management teams to maintain regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable, and comfortable balancing corporate compliance oversight with hands-on support, training, auditing, and relationship building across multiple communities.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee compliance with LIHTC, Section 8, HOME, Public Housing, and other federal and state affordable housing programs
  • Review and approve nonsubsidized move-in files
  • Conduct annual recertification reviews and monitor compliance deadlines
  • Perform internal file audits and quality assurance reviews
  • Conduct regular site visits to assigned communities to perform compliance audits, review files, provide training, and support on-site property management teams
  • Travel to properties within the portfolio as needed to assist with file reviews, compliance corrections, training, lease-up activities, and other compliance-related needs
  • Work directly with on-site teams to review and organize resident files, identify deficiencies, provide corrective guidance, and ensure required documentation is complete and compliant
  • Provide on-site training and coaching to Property Managers, Assistant Property Managers, and other property staff regarding affordable housing programs, file requirements, recertifications, and compliance procedures
  • Support lease-up activities for new affordable housing communities, including on-site file review and compliance support
  • Assist with year-end compliance reporting and external audits
  • Prepare responses to compliance audits and regulatory monitoring agencies
  • Partner with Property Managers, Portfolio Directors, and corporate teams to identify and resolve compliance issues
  • Provide ongoing compliance guidance and support to assigned communities
  • Conduct property and community inspections to ensure regulatory and company standards are met
  • Assist with TRACS and EIV processing as needed
  • Stay current on changes to affordable housing regulations and program requirements
  • Participate in compliance training and continuing education
  • Support special projects and organizational initiatives as assigned
  • Travel between corporate and property locations as required; regular travel to assigned communities is an essential function of this position

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of affordable housing compliance experience
  • LIHTC experience required
  • COS (Certified Occupancy Specialist) certification strongly preferred
  • LIHTC certification strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of LIHTC, Section 8, HOME, and affordable housing regulations
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, file requirements, and occupancy standards
  • Experience conducting compliance audits, file reviews, and quality assurance reviews
  • Experience providing training, coaching, or compliance guidance to on-site property management teams
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple communities, priorities, and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and affordable housing software systems
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with property and corporate teams
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to properties and work on-site as needed for audits, training, file reviews, lease-ups, and compliance support
  • Ability to work effectively in both a corporate office environment and on-site at residential communities
