The Event Concierge directly supports Convention Services Department through a liaison role between the Catering/Convention Services Managers and onsite meeting planners. Â This position is highly visible and the central point for handling and addressing special needs or requests for our groups and events. Â The vision for the role is to proactively monitor the flow of events and to react appropriately when needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•   Assist Convention Services and Catering Managers in providing unparalleled levels of service to our customers to help building long term relationships with our clients
•   Act as liaison and main point of contact between the meeting planner and Hotel teamsÂ
•   Create a bond with on-site meeting planners, essentially providing an extension to that planner’s team
•   Detailed knowledge of hotel function space, group dynamics and event details
•   Basic knowledge of Hotel’s operational departments, their roles and purpose
•   Attend all operational meetings as required, such as Daily BEO Meeting, Resume Review and Pre/Post Event Meetings
•   Being proactive in problem resolution, keeping clients advised on status of events and functions, including items pending that need follow up
QUALIFICATIONS:
•   High school education required.  College degree preferred
•   Previous hospitality experience in a customer facing role is preferredÂ
•   Ability to engage guests at all levels.  Must be passionate about providing warm, engaging, and personalized service
•   Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple priorities
•   Fluency in English is essential.  Multilingual is advantageous
•   This is a physically demanding role with 90% of a standard 8-hour shift being on your feet
•   Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays, with the ability to work a variety of shifts within any given work week
