About the RoleĀ
PTC is seeking a Head of Brand andĀ organicĀ Social MediaĀ asĀ the company continues to elevate and modernize the way it communicates withĀ customers, employees, partners, and investors.Ā
This person willĀ be responsibleĀ forĀ repositioning the PTC brand to be more human, relatable, and impactfulĀ ā clearlyĀ demonstratingĀ the positive impact PTCĀ has on the world throughĀ its customersĀ and employees.Ā
This person will alsoĀ be responsible forĀ advancing PTCās organic social media program by prioritizingĀ informativeĀ and thought-provokingĀ social-first contentĀ over traditional promotional tactics.Ā
There isĀ ample opportunityĀ to build and mature both programs over time and solidify their respective impactsĀ for a company of PTCās size and breadth.Ā
The ideal candidate will ensure both programsĀ support PTCās business goals and priorities and resonate with global audiences.Ā They will be able to understand the ābig pictureā ofĀ whatāsĀ happening across PTC and execute the brand and social programs in the context of the companyās overall marketing and communications strategies.Ā
Key ResponsibilitiesĀ
Brand LeadershipĀ
Define and articulate PTCās brand philosophy, positioning, and identity to earn buy-in across the organization.Ā
Develop a multi-yearĀ brand repositioning and activation roadmap, including primaryĀ objectivesĀ and areas of investment, example activations, and measurement programs.Ā
Coordinate with other marketing leaders toĀ establishĀ aĀ comprehensive messaging hierarchy that begins atĀ the brandĀ level.Ā
Develop and implement measurement frameworks to track brand awareness andĀ impactĀ andĀ demonstrateĀ improvements in brandĀ perceptionĀ over time.Ā
Oversee creative development for brand initiatives, balancing strategic direction with hands-on execution.Ā
Social Media StrategyĀ
Elevate organic social media as a key pillar of PTCās communications strategy, with emphasis on brand-level storytellingĀ and social-first content.Ā
Define channel and account strategy, including rationalizing the number of accounts and prioritizing platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube) for maximum impact.Ā
Build a forward-lookingĀ social-first content strategy and editorial calendarĀ with emphasis on company priorities, customerĀ achievements, and employee accomplishments.Ā
EstablishĀ comprehensiveĀ measurement program toĀ demonstrateĀ impactĀ of organic social media onĀ overall communications strategy.Ā
EnsureĀ social-firstĀ content delivers meaningful value to audiences and reinforces PTCās overall narrative.Ā
Leadership & CollaborationĀ
Manage and mentorĀ the brand and socialĀ team while fostering collaboration across marketing, communications, and business units.Ā
Serve as aĀ strategicĀ advisor to senior leadershipĀ on brand and social media strategy.Ā
QualificationsĀ
10+ years of leading corporate brand strategy and organic social media programs.Ā
Demonstrated ability to reposition a brand and drive measurable improvements in awareness andĀ perception.Ā
StrongĀ track recordĀ of building business cases for brand investment and securing budgets.Ā
Demonstrated success building an organic social media program, developing a 12-month editorial calendar, and creating compelling social-first content.Ā
Ability to balanceĀ overarching program direction and leadership responsibilities with hands-on creative execution.Ā
Exceptional communication, planning,Ā and interpersonal skills.Ā
Experienced people manager with proven philosophy ofĀ setting teammates up for success,Ā thoughtfulĀ delegation, and constructive coaching.Ā
PTC carefully considers a wide range of factors when determining compensation. The anticipatedannual salary range for this position is between $175,000 - $200,000. The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting.Ā Additionally, candidates may be eligible for a performance-based bonus.
Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Eligible employees also have the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program(ESPP) which allows for the purchase of discounted PTC stock. Certain roles may also be eligible forparticipation in our equity programs.Employees may be eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance, paid time off and sick leave, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) contributions and employer match, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability coverage and if you are an office-assigned employee,a generous commuter subsidy.
