The role of Patient Driver & Transportation Associate is to maintain safety and provide exceptional service to patients requiring assistance moving from the hospital to their home or discharged location post-hospital release. The patient driver must have excellent driving skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.Â

ResponsibilitiesÂ

Make patient service, care, and satisfaction the priority in every interaction by providing exceptional guest experiences.Â

Interact with the patient to ensure that departure from the hospital is smooth and efficient.Â

Provide a safe, comfortable ride experience from the hospital to their discharge location.Â

Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, hospital visits, or other healthcare-related destinations.Â

Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with necessary medical supplies, such as oxygen tanks or first-aid kits.Â

Help patients enter and exit the vehicle, assisting with mobility devices or other medical equipment as needed.Â

Follow all traffic laws and regulations, always maintaining a safe driving record.Â

Maintain open communication with patients, families, and healthcare providers to meet all transportation needs.Â

Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor.Â

Adhere to organizational policies and procedures, including patient confidentiality and safety.Â

Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, demonstrating empathy and understanding for their unique situations.Â

Look for the safety and well-being of all team members, customers/patients, and co-workers.Â

Qualifications:Â

Years of Experience: Entry LevelÂ
Language Skills: Proficient in English, both verbally and writtenÂ
Education Requirements: High School Diploma/GEDÂ

Clean driving record with an active driver’s licenseÂ

Able to push patients in wheelchairs and assist with entering and exiting the vehicleÂ
