Job Summary

Summary<br>Responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient patient check-in and discharge process by providing excellent customer service, collecting patient information, verifying insurance coverage explaining policies & procedures, and handling patient questions.<br><br>Does this position require Patient Care?<br>No<br><br>Essential Functions<br>-Greet patients in a professional and friendly manner <br>
-Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information, as well as enter information into systems <br>
-Schedule appointments and confirm patient information <br>
-Explain insurance and billing policies/procedures to patients <br>
-Process payments and provide receipts <br>
-Obtain pre-authorization for procedures as needed <br>
-Handle patietn questions, concerns and issues, while escalating any complex or difficult situations to patient access senior staff or manager <br>

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Licenses and Credentials

Experience
admitting, scheduling, registration, or insurance verification experience 1-2 years preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification procedures preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency.
