Description
  • Working and learning data engineering concepts that relate to data science and insurance.
  • Develop data pipelines for customers across the liberty organization, and utilize various tools such as R, Python, Redshift, SAS, AWS EC2, and Power BI for this purpose.
  • Building all required features and adding them to the pipeline to help data scientists to make their decision making faster.
  • Identifying data quality issues and communicating the associated risks to the stakeholders.
  • Developing ETL data pipelines in Redshift, AWS Glue to eliminate dependency on outdated warehousing system.
  • Automation of whole business scenarios from initial data pipeline building to final prediction making algorithms.
  • Telecommuting permitted up to 100%.
Qualifications

Employer will accept a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a Principal Data Solutions Analyst -related occupation.
Position requires demonstrable experience in the following:

  • Coding for data management, data warehousing, and other data environments, including working in NoSQL implementation, ETL, and Java.
  • Scripting languages including Python, Perl, Shell and the Hadoop stack.
  • Top quadrant Business Intelligence tools.
  • Experience with Data Visualization Tools including Tableau and PowerBI.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Data Governance and Data Quality Management.
  • Designing data engineering solutions using open source and proprietary cloud data pipeline tools including Airflow, Glue and Dataflow.
  • Analyzing complex technical problems and recommending process improvements that address complex technology gaps within a single business process and improve data reliability, quality, and efficiency.
  • Telecommuting permitted up to 100%.
