Position Summary
The Reconstruction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing residential and light commercial reconstruction projects from approved scope through final completion. This role manages project scheduling, subcontractors, site progress, customer communication, documentation, material coordination, and overall project performance to ensure jobs are completed safely, on time, and with a high standard of quality.This position is best suited for professionals with hands-on reconstruction, restoration, or residential construction management experience who are comfortable managing multiple active projects in a fast-paced environment while working directly with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee reconstruction projects from approved scope through final completionÂ
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, trades, and field activity across multiple active projectsÂ
- Conduct regular job-site inspections to monitor quality, schedule adherence, safety, and overall progressÂ
- Communicate consistently with customers, internal teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycleÂ
- Prepare and manage project documentation including job notes, photos, selections, permits, and change ordersÂ
- Order materials and coordinate deliveries to maintain efficient job flowÂ
- Resolve project issues related to scheduling, materials, workmanship, customer concerns, and field conditionsÂ
- Monitor timelines, budgets, and job performance to help ensure projects stay on track operationally and financiallyÂ
- Maintain a high level of customer service through proactive communication and quality executionÂ
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with building codes, safety standards, and company policiesÂ

Requirements

Required Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of project management experience in reconstruction, restoration, residential construction, or insurance repair workÂ
- Strong background managing residential and/or light commercial rebuild projectsÂ
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors, schedules, project activity, and multiple active jobs simultaneouslyÂ
- Solid understanding of construction methods, building systems, and project workflowsÂ
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and customer service skillsÂ
- Ability to read and interpret scopes of work, blueprints, estimates, and construction documentationÂ
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving recordÂ
- Reliable transportation required for travel between job sitesÂ
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in insurance restoration and reconstruction environmentsÂ
- Experience managing rebuild projects related to water, fire, mold, storm, or other property lossesÂ
- Experience working directly with homeowners, customers, and subcontractors in a fast-paced service-based construction settingÂ
- Experience with project documentation, change orders, and job progress trackingÂ
- Truck preferred for transporting tools, materials, and equipment as needed
