Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Full Time Security Officer for a Museum in Boston MA

Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 11 PM - 7 AM

Starting Pay is $23.00 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training 

As a Security Officer in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for visitors, staff, and guests. You will communicate professionally, respond to routine concerns, and represent Allied Universal’s caring, reliable, and integrity-driven culture through teamwork and attentive service.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, artists, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, exhibition spaces, public areas, offices, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor flow, and restricted areas; verify credentials as required and help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Observe museum property, exhibits, and facility conditions, document incidents or concerns, and complete required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
