Job Summary

Summary<br>Responsible for administering stress tests to patients to assess their cardiovascular health under the direction of a physician.<br><br>Does this position require Patient Care?<br>Yes<br><br>Essential Functions<br>-Prepare patients for stress tests by explaining the procedure and answering any questions they may have. <br>
-Apply electrodes and other monitoring devices to patients to measure their heart rate, blood pressure, and other vital signs during the test. <br>
-Administer stress tests, such as exercise stress tests or pharmacological stress tests, to evaluate the patient's cardiovascular health. <br>
-Monitor patients during the stress test and responding to any issues or complications that arise. <br>
-Document results of the stress test and communicating them to the supervising physician. <br>
-Maintain equipment and ensuring that it is functioning properly. <br>
-Assist in the scheduling of stress tests and other cardiology procedures. <br>
-Participate in quality assurance and improvement programs. <br>

Qualifications

Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support [ACLS (AHA)] - American Heart Association (AHA) preferred Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred Certified Cardiographic Technician [CCT] - Cardiovascular Credentialing International preferred Experience Experience in or specialized training in stress testing and cardiovascular health stress testing and cardiovascular health 1-2 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Attention to detail. - Ability to work well under pressure are all important for success in this role.
