POSITION OVERVIEW:

 

Grab the reigns and help shape the future of the Seaport’s best kept secret! Creativity must infuse everything we do, and everyone in the Hotel. Performance realities will always exist, but we use these constraints to push, not limit, our creativity.

 

As a Utility Cleaner PM, the role is to ensure that assigned housekeeping areas are kept clean and fully always stocked. This role also services assigned public areas and Associate areas to meet the expectations of the Omni Standards.

Local 26 Contract stipulates starting rate per hour at $23.16 and after 6 Months of service, rate increases to $24.81 per hour.  After one year of service, hourly rate per hour increases to $33.08.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responds to all guest requests appropriately.
  • Cleans and stocks linen room / supply closets to appropriate par level.
  • Keeps corridors on guest room floors clean and well maintained, helping move tables and trays.
  • Cleans all furniture, lamps, picture frames and mirrors are clean daily.
  • To provide full servicing of guest rooms upon request.
  • Replaces any light bulbs in lighting fixtures as needed.
  • Responsible for restocking caddies and refilling chemical bottles for Guest Room Attendants.
  • Respond swiftly and effectively in any emergency or safety situations. Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury or accident.
  • Attend all required department trainings and meetings.
  • Perform any other duties required by management.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
  • Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
  • Prior housekeeping experience required or other relevant environmental services experience
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers.
  • Must have the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed during busy times, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple priorities.
