About The Role:
Our Client is seeking a Manager / Senior Manager to join their Accounting Operations team in Boston. The Fund Accounting Operations Team is a group of functional teams that perform operational processes on a centralized basis for all funds using a consistent, standardized approach. As a member of Accounting Operations Team, the Assistant Director supports the department by performing, on a cross-fund basis, the review of a variety of operational workflows processed by the team. The Assistant Director is also responsible for developing the team and managing workload. These include, but are not limited to: Review of fund expense allocations; generation and review of capital account statements, distribution notices, and quarterly reports; processing of cashflow-related data; running reports to satisfy client and regulatory requests; and other functions involving data input, systems uploads, report generation/review, and data reconciliation.

What You Will Do:
- Responsible for supervising the distribution centralized operation team to ensure completion of work assigned by following standardized procedures, workflows and templates
- Ensure compliance with documentation standards applicable to the Operations team, including creation of a standard documentation package clearly evidencing work performed, conclusions reached, and signoff
- Coordinate team members’ priorities to ensure timely reporting to stakeholders
- Coordinate and review work product of team members to ensure accuracy of work
- Train team members regarding technical requirements of each fund/account as well as processes
- Prepare analysis for various internal and external requests
- Handle other ad-hoc responsibilities as required

What You’ll Need:
- Minimum of 5 years of operational or financial service experience
- High level of attention to detail and desire to continuously learn
- Excellent at problem solving and possess analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to work towards and meet pre-established deadlines and/or turnaround times
- Strong work ethic and collaborative approach
- Ability to perform processes across a broad and diverse set of funds, applying knowledge learned in one fund to similar funds within the complex
- Strong technical accounting knowledge

Salary Range
At Petra Funds Group, we are committed to transparency and equity in our hiring practices. The compensation range for this position is $102,000 - $153,000 per year. This range represents the base salary only. Actual pay will depend on factors such as qualifications, experience, and skills.
