Job Summary
The Snack & Pantry Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of pantry and snack areas while leading a team of pantry attendants. This role ensures service areas are clean, organized, fully stocked, and provide an excellent customer experience. The Team Lead also manages inventory, coordinates deliveries, assigns daily tasks, and ensures compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and support a team of pantry attendants.
- Assign daily tasks and monitor workflow to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked pantry and snack areas.
- Monitor inventory levels, receive deliveries, and rotate stock using FIFO practices.
- Track inventory usage and communicate ordering needs to management.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
- Prepare coffee stations and pantry amenities for daily service.
- Respond to customer requests and resolve pantry-related concerns professionally.
- Maintain inventory, receiving, and waste records.
- Assist with special events, meetings, and catering setups.
- Report equipment issues and supply shortages to management.
- Support scheduling, shift coverage, and overall team performance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in food service, hospitality, pantry services, facilities support, or a related field.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory management and food safety practices.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking, scheduling, and communication are preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
