About The Position

We are seeking a Psychiatrist in Massachusetts for a locum tenens position at a Mental Health facility. This 24-day assignment offers a flexible schedule starting 08/01/2025, requiring in-person presence 1-2 days per month for 1-2 hours, with the remainder of work conducted via telemedicine. The role involves collaborating with NPs, LPNs, and RNs for up to 10 hours, managing intakes, and attending a weekly in-person MTD meeting. The psychiatrist will be responsible for clinical stabilization services, medication management, and documentation follow-ups. This position also offers the potential for extension. 


Job Details: 

Location: Massachusetts

Schedule: Flexible, 1-2 days per month in-person, remainder via telemedicine


Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide psychiatric care and consultation for patients in a clinical stabilization service unit 

• Collaborate with NPs, LPNs, and RNs for up to 10 hours 

• Manage patient intakes

• Attend weekly in-person MTD meetings 

• Follow up on medication logs and documentation with NPs 

• Coordinate patient care with RNs and LPNs 

• Conduct telemedicine consultations and evaluations 

• Ensure proper documentation and adherence to facility protocols 

• Provide expert psychiatric guidance and support to the healthcare team


Additional Information: 

• Must be licensed to practice in Massachusetts 

• Comfortable working in a clinical stabilization service unit 

• Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule 

• Strong communication skills for effective telemedicine consultations
