STV is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to provide leadership on complex rail and transit infrastructure programs within our Rail Systems group. This role is intended for a seasoned professional with deep technical understanding, strong client-facing capabilities, and a proven track record of delivering large, multi-disciplinary rail systems projects. The Senior Project Manager will play a critical role in shaping project strategy, guiding teams, and ensuring successful outcomes for our public agency clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and accountability for major rail systems projects and programs, from planning through design, construction, testing, and commissioning

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to transit agency clients, supporting strategic decision-making and long-term program objectives

  • Direct and coordinate multidisciplinary teams including rail systems, traction power, electrical, signals, communications, and construction support

  • Establish and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risk management plans, and quality control processes

  • Oversee consultant, contractor, and joint venture partner performance to ensure contractual, technical, and financial compliance

  • Lead project governance activities, including executive-level reporting, risk mitigation, and issue resolution

  • Support procurement efforts, including RFP development, technical evaluations, and contract negotiations

  • Mentor project managers and technical staff, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing

  • Contribute to business development activities such as proposal development, client engagement, and pursuit strategies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline

  • 10+ years of progressive experience managing rail, transit, or complex infrastructure projects

  • Demonstrated experience leading large, multi-disciplinary rail systems projects for public-sector clients

  • Strong background in rail systems, traction power, electrical systems, or transit infrastructure

  • Proven ability to manage project teams, budgets, schedules, and risk at a senior level

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with major transit agencies and large capital programs

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification

  • Experience supporting pursuits, proposals, and client development activities

Compensation Range:

$179,925.15 - $205,628.74
